We love to have fun with the doggies, but we know to have safe, happy and healthy playtime, some ground rules had to be set. We’re sticklers for policy and procedure manuals. (That’s our corporate past in us.) Have a question about our policies? Feel free to contact us.

  • Spayed or Neutered
  • At least 6 months old

  • Up-to-date with flea and tick control
    • (Frontline or K9 Advantix)
  • Up-to-date with heartworm control
    • (Heartgard)
Your doggy must have:

Step 1: “Hi, nice to meet you!”
When we first meet, it will be a one on one, 45 minute, $25.00 consultation at your home, where both you and your doggy are most comfortable. We will discuss you and your doggy’s specific needs and get pertinent details (vet information, emergency contact, keys, etc). We will then go on a quick walk with you and your doggy in the neighborhood. We will see how your doggy walks, listens and reacts to us and the environment around.
Step 2: “Yay, you’re in!”
All doggies when initially joining our pack will be taken on as “Private Walk” clients first for an introductory price of $25.00 per walk. This allows us the time to get to know your doggy and assess them properly. Once the trial period of three private walks has been completed and your doggy is able to adjust to a small pack of fellow doggies, you then can make the decision to either have your doggy stay a “Private Client” or become a “Semi-Private Client”. Whatever you are most comfortable with is fine with us. (Keep in mind though, doggies are social animals and love being with their friends!) *Wink Wink*

Step 3: “This is great, can you walk our doggy all the time?”
Once you’ve chosen a walking plan for your doggy, we will add you to our schedule and make a routine of it. We will text or email (your preference) at the completion of our visit to notify you that we have visited with your doggy. Should there be any notice of something out of the norm, we will then call you instead. Your invoice for services will be emailed to you the same business day.

Payment Information
We accept cash or personal checks as form of payment. Please make checks payable to Play and Paws. Please ensure that payment is received promptly after services rendered. You can either choose to pay per visit or go on a monthly plan with us (which we highly recommend). Monthly payments will be collected on the first day of every month. There is a $25.00 fee for any returned check.

Changes or Cancellations: Monthly Paying Client

Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance of a cancellation or change. We will credit that unused day towards your following month. No fee will be charged should you need to make a schedule change (I.E. swap your Tuesday walk for a Thursday walk).

Changes or Cancellations: Daily Paying Client
Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance of a cancellation or change. Should you cancel your appointment less than 24 hours in advance, you will have to pay a cancellation fee of $25.00. No fee will be charged should you need to make a schedule change (I.E. swap your Tuesday walk for a Thursday walk).

Weather Details
As our job calls for major outdoor time, we are well-prepped for the elements (both cold and hot). Luckily most doggies are well equipped too. There are though, those rare times when the weather can be a bit extreme and unkind. Should we feel that the conditions are intolerable and unsafe, we will make the executive decision to either alter or cancel the visit for that day. We will notify you as soon as possible of your doggy’s visit change and offer an alternate plan that’s better for all parties involved. You will not be charged any penalty fees for changes due to weather conditions.
